Like any fiction, there is always a thread of reality that ties the story to the heart of the storyteller and the audience, Chicky Crystal is no exception. We are often asked “Does Chicky really wear a crystal?” (Yes) “What is Chicky’s favorite smoothie?” (guava, pineapple, coconut, lilikoi, with a dash of spirulina) “Did Chicky really live in a condo?” (of course) “How does Chicky drink out of a straw?” (carefully) “How organic is Chicky?” (very) We hope for now that that answers some of the burning questions from Chicky’s fan base. Of course you’ll find many more questions and answers in the story. When it comes to the creative team responsible for Chicky Crystal its strictly a family affair. Shen Liska – Artist
It came as no surprise that artwork first posted on the refrigerator eventually led to bigger projects that graced the walls of Los Angeles and wound up on freight trains in Philadelphia. Shen is no stranger to character development, story boards, layout and design. After a brief interlude in civil service, his passion for “street art” has been directed to graphic novels, animation, an occasional canvas and sometimes a birthday card that gets posted…yeah you guessed it.
Joe Liska – Writer
Well, I guess somebody has to make this stuff up! Not to be dissuaded by many years of working for “the man”, Joe has thankfully had his imagination taken over by a talking chicken. He has now joined the ranks of independent consultants who communicate with animals for a living and the reality TV offers are pouring in. Besides writer, dreamer, philosopher and barfly, Joe’s focus is on creative development and art direction. It seems like the characters just tell him what to write.
