In its pure simplicity, Chicky Crystal is a graphic novel about how animals can teach people how to be more human. It chronicles the life of a wild chick that is adopted by a young girl and grows up in the city thinking she is human. After living with people all her life, circumstances shift and Chicky finds herself back in the country on an organic farm with a bunch of neo-hippy, tree huggers.
As Chicky experiences life on the farm, she becomes entwined in the lives of many strange characters, finds enlightenment at a crystal altar, magically gains the power of speech, falls in love with a brash young rooster and turns the tide on an evil gang. Read more….
